Job Description:

The newly established Capitola Cannabis Club is seeking a General Manager to oversee and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and staff recruitment. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact from the ground up.

The Dispensary Manager oversees will oversee all operations at Capitola Cannabis Club, ensuring an excellent customer experience and efficient processes. They will build strong relationships with business and industry partners to build Capitola Cannabis Club’s presence regionally and nationally. We are looking for someone with experience with budgeting, financial management, marketing, and HR. You will help hiring and building a team from the ground up. This role involves setting ambitious goals and measuring outcomes to enhance performance.

This individual will work to build, foster and strengthen community both within the organization and with the surrounding neighborhood.

Job Requirements:

Must have previous cannabis retail management experience. Must be friendly, outgoing, trustworthy, dependable, and hardworking.

  • Hiring and scheduling new staff members.
  • Maintaining adequate dispensary staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Reconciling end of day/month reports.
  • Ensure optimal dispensary staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, as well as planning, monitoring, and evaluating their job results.
  • Nurturing employee passion and enthusiasm
  • Achieving financial objectives by preparing a monthly budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand product/service requirements.
  • Ensuring availability of merchandise and services.
  • Establish pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.
  • Suggesting marketing strategy changes based on experiences with customers, vendors and sales staff.
  • Implementing flow on the sales floor and intake / security systems and measures.
  • Implementing compliant cash handing procedures.
  • Protecting employees and customers by providing a safe and clean environment.
  • Maintaining all aspects of dispensary operation in strict compliance with Department of Public Health, municipal, and state legal regulations and requirements.
  • Keeping Company management informed on all relevant operations.
  • Responsible for dispensary facility maintenance including but not limited to: HVAC, plumbing, repairs, front entry cleanliness, and technology fixes as needed. Sourcing dependable vendors.
